Monday, September 16, 2013. Things that Keep You Awake at Night. I thought that coming back from Haiti would mean peaceful nights. The nearest hospital is 10 miles away, and no one near us is expecting a baby any time soon. I never knew a chicken could howl like that. Skunk Just a little one. Even little ones are considered armed and dangerous. I had very little in my arsenal. I cast about for something to coax the skunk to go away.
